We thought we might start the day with a walk down to Lake Colac to see the sunrise over the lake. The lake was calm, and there were plenty of birds enjoying the early morning serenity.

We stayed by the lake, admiring the scenery and taking scenic photos, before going back to our hotel to prepare for the day's ride.

The cycling today was fairly straightforward - a long, steadily climbing ride on the Colac to Ballarat road. Our first stop was at the small village of Beeac, which had a couple of tourist attractions.

The ride on was fairly uneventful. We rode on a well-surfaced road with little traffic, past attractive farmlands (sheep, cattle, alpacas, donkeys), windmills, lakes, and forests.

We stopped briefly at Cressy, where we came across a striking wooden sculpture of a vulture.

After a hamburger and chips lunch at Rokewood, we diverted to look at the impressive statues along the Corindhap Avenue of Honour.

There was only one more stop between Corindhap and our day's destination at Enfield.
