This was the second rest day of the trip so far, and the weather forecast was for a wet, cloudy day. Fortunately the early morning was relatively fine (albeit quite chilly), and we went for a walk down to the bay. The shoreline looked impressive in the early morning light.

The promised bad weather arrived shortly afterwards, and impacted our activities for the rest of the day. We had a short visit to the information centre, which had a display of exhibits from some of the local shipwrecks.

We had a lunch of fish and chips in our accommodation.

The afternoon was spent researching the routes for the next couple of days, and taking random photos through the window.

It was cold and wet all afternoon, and we were happy to be inside.

Eventually there was a break in the rain, and we rugged up and headed out for a short walk up to the Soldiers Memorial. Of course, it started raining again while we were out.

From Victoria: we were last at PC when I was pregnant with Julian in 1991, I don't think it has changed a great deal. Lovely photos, vicarious travel is wonderful, thank you.
ReplyDeleteAccess to the Discovery Walk is no longer by a dash across the creek at low tide and up the side of the cliff - there is now a suspension bridge - but PC does give the impression of having changed little over the years. Glad you're enjoying the blog!
